Students don’t need a perfect teacher.
Students need a happy teacher,
who’s gonna make them excited to come to school
and grow a love for learning.
Richard Feynman

„Feynman’s Lectures on Physics”

Teach your students to doubt, think, communicate, ask questions, make mistakes,
learn from their mistakes,
and most importantly, enjoy learning new things.

„The scientific method cannot be algorithmized for various reasons,
especially because its essential component is creativity.”
Szaniawski

„Creativity is a dialogue – also with oneself. It is associated with continuous searching, which should be more important than the point of reaching the goal.”
Penderecki

A person can shape the world only in accordance with the laws of nature.
They can be creative not only with words, writing, and art but also with productive work.
Gubański

Reflection on the events of our lives allows us to notice important details. For example, the fact that a piece of reading, a favor done, or a seemingly insignificant meeting brings internal peace, joy of life,
and suggests more good initiatives over time (Pope Francis, 2022).
We have become accustomed to wanting everything immediately in a world where haste has become a constant. We no longer have time for meetings, and often even within families, it is difficult to be together and talk calmly. Patience has been banished by haste, causing great harm to people. Impatience, nervousness, and sometimes unjustified violence take over, leading to dissatisfaction and closure. Moreover, in the age of the internet, where space and time are replaced by „here and now,” patience is not always present in our home (Pope Francis, 2024).
In school, it’s not about the school at all (Ewa Radanowicz, 2020). The goal of education should be teaching how to think, not what to think (Bill Beattie). Learning is the main process of school and life. It allows learning about oneself, others, and the world. Learning in school prepares for effective lifelong learning (Ewa Radanowicz). Skills and readiness to learn new things are identified as the most valuable resource of societies that must face the difficult challenges of the present (INTEGRATED SKILLS STRATEGY 2030). Therefore, we need people who, often unexpectedly, will notice emerging problems, take them to heart; who will care about them; and, if possible, try to address them. Without friendship, community, solidarity, and mercy, truly human life and a genuinely humanized society are not possible (Walter Kasper).

But after all, school is not about school at all! It’s about people meeting there, being able to build worlds according to their needs. It’s about discovering new possibilities and passions in oneself and others. Learning to keep up with the fast-paced reality. […]

Education that gives students space and time to develop and discover, awakens their passion, responsibility, and power to change themselves and the world for the better, will develop their ability to adapt to any situation and scenario.

School is not about school at all! It’s about:

– dealing with problems,
– teaching problem-solving,
– understanding and acceptance,
– joy from being and from others being as well… (Ewa Radanowicz).
We, humans, are clearly carved from a crooked piece of wood; we have a deeply rooted tendency toward evil (Kant). All our relationships bear the mark of this tendency. Therefore, we must not take the ideal situation of a meeting as the starting point. Human relationships are disrupted and burdened by previous injustice – the one we inherited, experienced, or inflicted ourselves (Walter Kasper).
